Sony channel list editor
Export the channel list from your Sony TV to a USB stick, fix it in ChannelSat (order, duplicates, favourites, satellite data), and import it back — free and 100% in your browser.
Also covers: Bravia · Android TV · Google TV · KDL
How to edit a Sony channel list
1Insert an empty USB stick into your Sony TV
2Settings → Watching TV → Channels → Channel setup → Digital setup → Technical setup → Programme list transfer → Export to USB
3The TV writes sdb.xml to the USB stick.
4Plug the stick into your computer and upload the file to ChannelSat — reorder, clean up, add missing channels
5Save the exported file back to the USB stick (replace the original) and import it on the TV: Same menu → Import from USB
Menu names vary by model and firmware version.
Supported files
- sdb.xml
What you can edit
- Reorder & renumber channels
- Favourite lists (4)
- Delete channels
- Add missing channels (requires a new scan on this TV)
Good to know
- Android / Google TV models (e-format) and older KDL models (FormatVer 1.x) are both supported.
- The General satellite list and the Preset (operator) list are numbered independently.
- The file checksum is recalculated on export so the TV accepts it.
- Bravia 7/8/9 (2024+) MediaTek sdb.xml is not supported yet.
