Toshiba channel list editor
Export the channel list from your Toshiba TV to a USB stick, fix it in ChannelSat (order, duplicates, favourites, satellite data), and import it back — free and 100% in your browser.
Also covers: Vestel · Nokia · Nabo · Hitachi · Telefunken (Vestel-made)
How to edit a Toshiba channel list
1Insert an empty USB stick into your Toshiba TV
2Settings → Installation → Clone / Export channel list to USB (Vestel: hold the Info button in the channel menu)
3The TV writes settingsDB.db / chmgt_type001/chmgt.db + dvb_type001/*.db to the USB stick. Zip the exported clone folder before uploading.
4Plug the stick into your computer and upload the file to ChannelSat — reorder, clean up, add missing channels
5Save the exported file back to the USB stick (replace the original) and import it on the TV: Same menu → Import from USB
Menu names vary by model and firmware version.
Supported files
- settingsDB.db (CLONE00001 folder)
- chmgt_type001/chmgt.db + dvb_type001/*.db (zip the export folder)
What you can edit
- Reorder & renumber channels
- Favourite lists (not supported by this format)
- Delete channels
- Add missing channels (requires a new scan on this TV)
Good to know
- Vestel-based TVs (settingsDB.db) and older chmgt.db exports are both supported.
- When exporting settingsDB.db, copy the result over settingsDBBackup.db too.
- TV and radio channels keep separate numbering in chmgt.db lists.
- Encrypted settingsDB_enc.db files (newer Vestel firmware) cannot be edited.
